TRELAWNEY - "A good sword and a trusty hand" - Sir
Jonathan Trelawney, Bishop of Bristol (afterwards Exeter) was one of 7 imprisoned
in the Tower of London by James II in 1688 for petitioning against the Declaration
of Indulgence. It is said his brother Cornishmen rose on his behalf and the
miners marched to London singing this song but he was released before they arrived
- According to DUNSTAN the refrain (omitted by DIXON) is the only original (traditional)
part and the verses (differing little from Dixon's) were a "Restoration"

TROUBADOR, THE - Situated in Old Brompton Road, this was one of the
first Folk Clubs, the EFDSS at Cecil Sharp House had the first in 1957. The
secretary was Jennie Steel from Polmont, Scotland, and it was visited by hundred
of famous folk singers and musicians including Alex Campbell, Martin Carthy,
Dominic Behan, Bob Dylan, Stefan Grossman, Tom Paxton, Buffy St Marie, Paul
