In addition to recording Alan's own family collection of Texas Folksongs
sung solo with his own guitar (Folktrax 904), Peter Kennedy took the opportunity
of making use of two young singer-instrumentalists, one English and one American,
to provide a backing group for him to perform some of the more popular folksongs
published in the Lomax books of American Ballads and Folksongs. A further album
of these songs, with Alan's help, gave Guy and Peggy their own voice (Folktrax
943).
