FTX-173 - THE WEST WIND

WILLIE CLANCY - Uillean pipes

Willie CLANCY (1918-73) - this recording made by Peter Kennedy and Seamus Ennis in Camden Town in 1956 is probably the first one made of this now legendary Uillean piper. Here he is joined by fiddler Bobby Casey, also from Miltown Malbay in West Clare. In addition to playing pipes, Willie is also heard talking and playing tunes on his tin-whistle. 173Clancy,Willie(Vallely).JPG
