| Felix DORAN, who died in 1972, along with his brother Johnny, killed
in 1950 when a wall fell on his caravan, were regarded as the champion Uillean
pipers, among Irish travellers and all-Ireland as well. We include 2 tracks
on which Felix is joined by 5 other pipers: Dan Doherty, Seamus Dowling,
Patrick McAnulty, Liam Rowsome & Sean Seery - recorded by Peter Kennedy
and Pete Seeger at the Fladh Cheoil, Clones, Co Monaghan in 1964 |
