17 Songs of Africa, England & South America performed by ethno-musicologist,
Sylvia Moore, with a variety of instruments including bell, cora, donno,
flute, guitar, harpsichord, keyboards, oboe, piano, sansa (thumb piano),
tabla, talking drum and tambourine. 4 of the songs are from her native Northumbria
and 4 are her own composition. For the others, she sings in their native
language, some with English translation. She finishes with a Cante-fable,
a typical African animal story-song. |
