Napoleon - Songs, Marches & a Mummers Play
A Christmas Mummers Play from Dorset, with its song accompanied
by melodeon, sets the period scene for 14 Napoleonic Ballads and 5 Marches played
on fiddle. There is a composite version of the ever popular BONNY BUNCH OF
ROSES-O performed by English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish singers, including
some of the most outstanding traditional folksingers: Robert Cinnamond, Harry
Cox, Sam Larner, Bert Lloyd, Jimmy McBeath, Jeannie Robertson, Willie Scott
and Phil Tanner.
