Songs of Storm & Shipwreck
In the "Ballads" series, this album features a variety of sea songs from around
Britain and Ireland, that reflect the dangers of the deep. Singers come from
the Orkneys in the North, to the Scillies in the South, from Ireland in the
West, to Norfolk and Suffolk, in East Anglia. The Scillies come up with: MISTER
PLIMSOLL and THE TITANIC, and Birmingham: an Irish version of MY
BONNY LIES OVER THE OCEAN.
