- RIG-A-JIG-JIG
NORFOLK VILLAGE MUSIC
The fishing villages of the Norfolk coast have a unique vitality. Mrs BULLIMORE,
the landlady of the village inn at Morston, tells how they do their own local
version of "The Long Dance" and plays for it on the bar piano. The largest repertoire
came from sexton and dance fiddler, Herbert SMITH of Blakeney, who, also tells
us about the dances and about a local song contest. Jimmy DICKERSON sings the
winning song. Also includes melodeon-players: Albert HEWITT, Percy BROWNE, and
Bob THOMPSON of Cromer, with "Shrimp" Davies doing the stepping.
