FF-2207 - THE SEEDS OF LOVE

Bill Squire's father sang this famous love song to Cecil Sharp who noted it down in the local pub at Holford, Somerset in 1904 - Peter Kennedy visited Bill with a video, 30th April 1983, and Bill sings the first song that Sharp collected in Somerset, and Bill talks about his father. It was videoed both outside in his garden and inside the house, together with another one, also learnt from his father, "Poor Old Jeff" (Colour 1983/ 55 mins) - Hear him on CD FTX-136
