This album, the second of three, includes 15 actuality recordings in Scots
Gaelic of "waulking" i.e. work songs by leader and chorus used for stretching
locally made tweed. On Side B are some more waulking and examples of solo performances:
a lullaby, a nativity song and some mouth-music. Singers include Fanny MacIsaac,
Mrs MacDonald, Kate McMillan, Mrs A.J.McLennan, Mrs Nicholson, Effie Monk, Penny
Morrison, Kate MacCormick and Mary MacPhee.
