THE FAIRY BOY
JOHN CORRY of Co Tyrone
One of the most oustanding repositories of
Irish song to be recorded in recent times. John claims to
know several thousand songs & here features some quite
unusual ones. Recorded and interviewed by James Foley, November-December
1985, and edited by Peter Kennedy, it contains songs, stories,
a recitation, a prayer and plenty of talk about local Co Tyrone
folklore, singing and country dancing as well as some fine
versions of the older ballads.
