Two folksingers from the Midlands - Sam BENNETT (1865-1951), rec by PK in 1950, fool, dancer, singer, fiddler and farmer from Ilmington, near Stratford-on-Avon, provided Mr Cecil Sharp with both folksongs and Morris dances - and - Cecilia COSTELLO (1883-1976), who was first recorded by Peter Kennedy in Birmingham August 1951, sang songs from her father who came from Co Roscommon in the Ireland.
