Lewis Tester (1886-1972) the Sussex dance musician
and singer first recorded by Peter Kennedy in 1963. He is best-known for
his playing of old-time country music on the Anglo Concertina, but here
he is also heard playing the much larger German-made Bandonion, developed
in Argentina by the Tango orchestras. He talks about the instruments,
tells a story about busking on Brighton beach and sings three dramatic
songs - JEALOUSY (Poison in a glass of wine) - THE FALSE BRIDE - THE
LAKES OF COLDFLYNN
