Harry Cox (1885-1971), outstanding folksinger from near Yarmouth, Norfolk,
with a wide variety of songs about life, both at sea and ashore: encounters
with other ships, and frigates in full sail, when Jack gets into port.
18 songs mostly from his father. Harry was born 27th March 1885 at Barton Turf
and died 6th May 1971, shortly before his 86th birthday. These recordings were
made by Peter Kennedy most of them in Harry's garden shed between 1953 & 1956.
