Folksongs of Britain & Ireland
Peter Kennedy compiled the large volume "Folksongs of Britain & Ireland" (Cassell/ Schirmer 1975 & Oak/ Music Sales paperback edition 1985). The book won the McColvin Library Award for the most outstanding reference book of 1975. It contains songs in Scots, Irish & Manx Gaelic, Welsh, Cornish & Channel Islands French as well as the languages of gypsies and tinkers. It is distributed by Music Sales and copies are available from Music Retail Shops and from Folktrax at £35 plus £5 p/p.
