FF-2205 - WHAT'S THE LIFE OF A MAN?
Jim Small of Cheddar, Somerset

A master of the harmonica, as played for step-dancing, Jim also sings two songs "What's the life of a man?" and "Henry, my son". Before retirement, Jim served as a guide at Gough's Cavern. In addition to playing a selection of waltzes and hornpipes, including "The Shepton", Jim describes how he used to fit a megaphone to his mouth-harp when playing for morris and sword dancing, for which his local team won many prizes (Colour 1983/ 30 mins)- Hear him on CD FTX-138 & 327
